Plot

The documentary analyzes the phenomenon of the depopulation of Venice city and the biggest lagoon islands through interviews of different people of the cultural world, entrepreneurs, local institutions and citizen associations. From the flood of 1966 to today, the historic center of Venice has lost half of its habitants with a constant depopulation. The city today it’s presented as the Italian Disneyland. The number of tourist keeps increasing while the residents continuous to decrease. What is the future of the city? In addition, what can we do to stop the social disappearance of some of the most important historic cities?
